Husqvarna Hiperfloor
What is Hiperfloor?
Hiperfloor is not a coating but a method for mechanically grinding, treating and polishing concrete floors. Concrete is already durable, however by treating and then polishing it, the surface abrasion resistance and wearing properties are substantially increased.
Over the lifetime of the floor, the end result is longgevity, performance, shine and beauty, low maintenance and a cost-efective flooring alternative.
How does it work?
Through an innovative combination of premium grade silicates, liquid materials and specifically engineered diamond technology, the Husqvarna Hiperfloor process moves through a succession of steps. It is possible to end the process after each step depending on the desired end result.
The Hiperfloor process is odourless and relatively quiet meaning, so application can be worked around your requirements without and need to vacate. No downtime,no lost earnings and minimal inconvenience.
What are the options and where can I use it?
With the Husqvarna Hiperfloor process, you can achieve a range of results, depending on how the floor will be used. The beneficial properties can be experianced across a broad industry level, especially designed to meet flooring demands in industrial, commercial and domestic applications.
Decorative or industrial finish?
The main difference between the decorative finish and the industrial is that significantly more effort goes into the decorative finish. (e.g. exposing aggregate, patching all the small imperfections, the flatness of the floor etc) compared to the industrial product. This will be reflected in the final appearance and installation cost of the floor.
Decorative Finish
Hiperfloor offers a particularly striking and impressive finish for decorative purposes ranging from domestic housing, office environments and hotels right through to supermarkets and large retail stores.
A choice of gloss levels can be selected from honed satin where no gloss is required, semi-gloss where a mirror-like finish is not required or a high-glodd producing an almost mirror-like finish.
Industrial Finish
A purpose-designed finish can also be achieved in industrial environments that require the high durability and abrasion resistant properties of Hiperfloor, withou the high gloss levels.
Husqvarna Hiperfloor method.
Step 1
If the floor has hard-to-remove coatings, adhesives and screed, these can be removed quickly and aggressively with Piranha PCD tools.
Step 2-4
Use tools from G1100 series, starting with course tools to remove the major irregularities, and continuing with increasingly fine tools until you have ground away the finer scratch marks.
Step 5
GM3000. is an exclusive method for filling concrete pores. Apply it with a broom and then, using G1100 seies diamond tools, run the Husqvarna Grinder over the wet GM3000. The mixture of GM3000 and grinding dust will effectively fill any small air pockets, cracks or pin holes.
Step 6
Husqvarna's premium liquid densifier 'Hiperhard' increases the surface hardness of the concrete and improves the abrasion resistance. It also has a significant impact on the appearance of the final floor. Apply Hiperhard liberally with a very soft broom or a sprayer.
Step 7-13
Continue the polishing process with Husqvarna's resin bond diamonds, using progressively finer grit sizes.
Step 14
Hiperguard Premium Enhance can be applied to the surface and burnishing pads can be used at the end of the process to make the concrete significantly more resistance to fats, oils, water and acids. Stains are kept at the surface level, making maintenance and cleaning easier and adding to the lifespan of the floor. Hiperguard PE also assists in enhancing the colour of the material being sealed.
