Do I need to install any hardware?
Some equipment is deviceless, whereas others come with the device already installed. Equipment that requires YR Connect has the device installed prior to delivery. If you would like to investigate the possibility of having YR Connect installed on equipment within your existing fleet, please talk with us about your options.
Can YR Connect help with maintenance & servicing?
Yes. The system automatically generates service reminders based on hours of operation or other metrics. This helps ensure maintenance is done on time, warranty requirements are met, and downtime is minimised.
How does the security / theft recovery work?
The owner of the asset can view its location using their own unique login to YR Connect. Many of our customers take advantage of geofencing and immobilisation features to help minimise theft and maximise recovery of equipment.
How is YR Connect accessed?
YR Connect can be accessed using any online device such as a laptop, tablet, phone or computer using unique login information, or by scanning the QR code attached to your equipment.

Is there a cost to use YR Connect?
YR Connect is free of charge for the first three years (on relevant equipment) and after that period there are opt-in options to continue with the programme for an annual fee.
How secure is my data?
Safeguarding your information with utmost care is one of our core values. Therefore, we take great care with data security and privacy, adhering to industry best practices, through our YR Connect Providers including:

— All data is encrypted both at rest and in transit.

The system works with most online device such as a laptop, tablet, phone or computer using unique login information.
How do service reminders work?
Service reminders are scheduled automatically based on operating hours or predefined maintenance milestones. You’ll receive alerts in advance when servicing is due, so you can plan maintenance and avoid breakdowns.
Can YR Connect help with warranty compliance?
Yes. Since many warranty conditions require proof of scheduled servicing or maintenance, YR Connect helps ensure those are tracked and recorded against the equipment’s serial number. Reminders are followed up by our support team which helps with meeting warranty obligations.
What if there is no internet or cellular connectivity at a location?
Data and history is still recorded and synched with YR Connect when the asset is back within range of wireless connectivity.
How do I get started / set up with YR Connect on my equipment?
When you purchase equipment from YR, our after-sales team ensures that YR Connect is installed and ready to use. Their goal is to make the familiarisation process as simple and seamless as possible at no charge to the customer.
